Thinking of starting a new job or switching careers? Here are some of the most in-demand professions across the Sunshine State.
Whether you are about to start your career, or are thinking of switching paths to pursue your dream job, it is a good idea to find out your job’s projected growth. Why? Simply because it gives you insight into how easy (or not!) it will be for you to get employed in that particular occupation.
If you’re wondering what projected growth is, it’s precisely what it sounds like: an educated estimate of how many people are likely to be employed in that particular occupation over a determined period of time.
In December 2022, 223,000 new jobs were added by employers across the United States, according to Careeronestop, a source for career exploration sponsored by The US Department of Labor. In fact, the national unemployment rate dropped to 3.5%! Nearly every industry reported increased hiring in November, with most gains in these areas:
- Leisure and hospitality
- Health care
- Construction
