“I may not be a Floridian, but I’m an American, and I’m a Democrat. And if you’re like me, you know how fragile our democracy is. We saw on Jan. 6, how close we came to a constitutional crisis, how close we came to a successful coup against our own government, and they’re not going to stop,” the actor says in the video, and then asks Floridians to vote, knock on doors, donate, and get their friends to vote.
“We gotta get rid of Marco Rubio. You could do us all a big favor and get rid of Ron DeSantis,” Hamill continued.
In recent weeks, there has been talk about Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis running for president on the Republican ticket in 2024.
