No matter how hectic things get, these celebs have found a way to center and find their calm. Here’s how they do it.

With all its demands, life can be stressful at times. This is particularly true for celebrities, who must juggle family, love, friends and career, all under the microscope of fame. So, we’re talking stress ¡al cuadrado! How do they relax and unwind? Each has a unique way to reach their center of calm.

Ricky Martin: Silence in the Eye of the Storm

More than 20 years ago, the Puerto Rican sensation began practicing kriya, a brand of yoga popularized during the last century by Paramahansa Yogananda.

Ever since, Ricky looks for moments when he can “practice my silence in the middle of a hurricane.” This break from the hustle and bustle allows him to stay calmly present and actively focused, and experience the timelessness and beauty of each moment.

“Silence is what’s really keeping me grounded, “says Ricky. “I found this meditation called Headspace. Guided meditation is doing a lot for me. I wish I could be in the lotus position for three hours a day, but 15, 20 minutes, half an hour really makes a difference.”

Rita Moreno: The Power of Small Things

When you say “living legend,” one Boricua powerhouse comes to mind: the unsinkable Rita Moreno, one of only four actresses in history to achieve the EGOT by winning an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award. But despite her fame and glory, the stunning 91-year-old admits she has faced challenges and self-doubt that at times threatened to douse her fuego. Here’s how she copes and thrives!

“I have many hobbies that help me unwind,” Rita shares. “I take enormous joy in feeding the little birds in my area. I have a big, beautiful patio with bird feeders everywhere. I love listening to music, so I play music in my house all day long. They’re small things that help me relax and fill each day with fun.”

Rita also loves to take walks that calm and energize her in body, mind and spirit. “It’s a great thing because it gives me a chance to appreciate the beauty all around me.” She especially cherishes the time spent with her pet, Sarita, a six-pound Morkie (a Maltese and a Yorkshire terrier mix). “She always sleeps at the bottom of the bed until I’m asleep and then she comes up and leans on me… it brings me so much comfort.”

Jennifer Lopez: A Balm for Body, Mind, and Spirit

With a thriving career and a growing family, there’s no doubt that J.Lo is one of the world’s great multitaskers. In fact, she admits that, at times, it can all get overwhelming. So how does she turn down the intensity and find her calm?

“I learned Transcendental Meditation because it’s overwhelming sometimes…  [I do it] twenty minutes a day in the morning and at night,” Jennifer explains. “It’s a whole rounded regimen that deals with your mind, your soul, your spirit, and your body. It’s working out, it is dancing, it’s meditating…” In other words, it’s her go-to antidote to stress. “Whenever I am in high moments of stress and anxiety in my life, I always go back to this practice.”

Bad Bunny: A City to Unwind

He may sing with Drake and Ozuna that he “can’t relax,” but that is not entirely true. Benito Martínez Ocasio, mejor conocido como Bad Bunny, has his own way to de-stress. But true to form, the 28-year-old is sui generis when it comes to finding his calm.

When he wants to take a break from the whirlwind of fame, Bad Bunny hops to South Florida.

“The culture reminds me of home,” he says. “Miami is a city where I can relax. I love to go out to eat, see the ocean. It’s just a great city.”

Spotify’s most-streamed artist globally particularly loves to unwind at VIP cabanas in five-star luxury beachfront hotels in Miami Beach. Pastimes, like playing video games and watching basketball, also help him relax from the work of conquering the world one hit song at a time.

Luis Fonsi: The Pleasures of Family and Home

With performances all over the world, the “Despacito” singer lives life fast. Fonsi, as his fans call him, admits he has some pretty impressive toys, like fabulous cars and luxury boats. But when life gets overwhelming and he needs to de-stress, he turns to wife Águeda López and their two children.

“There’s nothing better than opening the door and feeling their love. We enjoy being home watching movies, playing around, taking a swim in the pool,” he says.  And because he finds the ocean soothing and inspirational, Fonsi adds that they like “escaping to the beach whenever we can.”

Opinion: The biggest factor the polls aren’t showing: People.

The biggest factor the polls aren’t showing is people. People volunteering. People talking with people. People rising. And, importantly, people who care deeply about real issues that lower costs for families and boost the economy – and importantly, people who also want less vitriol, racism, misogyny, and hate.
