As vegan and vegetarian food grows in popularity, many restaurants across the Sunshine State are offering this healthier fare, but without sacrificing the great taste of a good home-cooked meal!

These six restaurants use fresh, clean, natural ingredients in dishes that range from veggie burgers and burritos, to pizza, Philly “steak” sandwiches, and yes, even mac’n’cheese for the kids.

And in case you become enamored of this delicious cuisine, there’s even one restaurant that offers monthly vegan cooking classes!

So whether you are in Miami, in the state’s capital, or near Orlando, there’s a great vegan/vegetarian option near you.

Love Life Cafe, Miami

Founded under the premise that “eating healthy is an act of self love and a social responsibility towards our planet and animal welfare,” its relaxed ambiance and zen-like vibe makes it a great place to experience the many delicious flavors and textures of plant-based food.

Veronica Menin and Diego Tosoni, partners in love and life, created Love Life Cafe to expand people’s awareness towards loving life and respecting our planet. But that mission comes hand in hand with delicious food made with beautiful ingredients from nature, and includes their award-winning veggie burger, which in 2016 was named “best veggie burger in America” at the Seed Food and Wine Festival.

Of course, you’ll be tempted to try every item on the menu, from the hearty Latin American Sancocho Soup, made with root vegetables, to the delicioso Cuban Burrito with black bean sofrito, brown rice, lettuce, tomatoes and, of course, fried sweet plantains.

The menu includes everything from a delicious Vegan B.L.T. (maple-hickory “bacon,” lettuce, romas & mayo on sourdough) to a hearty Grilled Portobello Panini (grilled veggies, feta, roasted garlic mozzarella, spinach, romas, and roasted garlic aioli on focaccia). End of the Line Cafe also has tasty vegan desserts, a full coffee bar, a large selection of specialty drinks, and beer and wine with daily happy hour specials.

If their food inspires you to transition to healthier eating and you wish to enjoy more of it at home, they even offer monthly vegan cooking classes!

A bonus: they offer beer and wine.

The place has a relaxed, homey atmosphere with plenty of natural light and many seating options. They use repurposed furniture, including old church pews that serve as their booth benches.
