The American Psychological Association revealed that 62% of women aged 18 to 34 say they are completely overwhelmed by stress most days.
More than one in five women in the US have experienced a mental health condition in the past year, according to the US Office on Women’s Health.
Conditions like depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, among others, are affecting more women than men, according to the data.

In fact, 62% of women aged 18 to 34 say they are completely overwhelmed by stress most days, according to a study by the American Psychological Association (APA).
The US population has experienced a large range of stressors in recent years because of issues like the pandemic, racial injustice, and political divisiveness.
In APA’s survey, 76% of adults said that the future of our nation is a significant source of stress in their lives.
Latinas were most likely, among racial groups, to cite significant sources of stress related to violence, including gun violence and crime, with the highest percentage at 89%.
“The survey found a majority of adults are disheartened by government and political divisiveness, daunted by historic inflation levels, and dismayed by widespread violence,” APA wrote in the report.
