The heat, bugs, and oppressive humidity make Florida summers insufferable, but there is a silver lining—well, actually it’s more of a rosy blush—and that’s the plethora of mangoes ripening on the trees this time of year. 

In fact, mango trees can be so prolific that Floridians who have them in their yards have to give boxes of mangoes away to friends, neighbors, and even strangers. And if you don’t have a mango tree, you’ll find plenty of them at the grocery store during the summer months. So what should we do with so many mangoes? For Puerto Ricans, the options are as endless as they are delicious. We scoured social media to find some of the best recipes to use up all those in-season, juicy mangoes.
