That special time of the year is coming once more, and with Christmas comes winter as well. In some areas, the cold weather can be inclement, making it even more urgent for people without stable housing to find a place to stay.
Additionally, in Florida, with rent prices soaring, some may also need help with rent or other basic necessities. such as food or clothing.
Help is Available
Luckily, people can use the Find Shelter tool from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Along with temporary housing, they can also find help for other matters, such as:

- Applying for a Housing Choice Voucher
- Reporting housing discrimination
- Talking to a housing counselor
