If he ultimately becomes the 47th president, Trump plans to focus on more aggressive deportation policy that would repatriate hundreds of thousands of immigrants, greatly expanded tariffs that economists believe would add $4000 a year in expenses to middle class families, and seeking revenge on his political opponents.
Donald J. Trump has won Florida’s 30 electoral votes, an expected victory for Trump in his state of residence.
The Associated Press news outlet called the race in Florida for Trump on Tuesday night. With 95% of the votes counted, Trump leads Democratic nominee Kamala Harris 56.2% to 42.9%.
Throughout the race, Trump’s support among Hispanic signaled that he’d have enough votes to carry Florida, a state that he won in 2016 and 2020.
If he ultimately wins the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the race and becomes the 47th president, Trump plans to focus on more aggressive deportation policy that would repatriate hundreds of thousands of immigrants, greatly expanded tariffs that economists believe would add $4000 a year in expenses to middle class families, and seeking revenge on his political opponents — all things he’s vowed to do on the campaign trail this year.
