Florida D-SNAP locations announced for hurricane relief assistance

In response to the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the Department of Children and Families (DCF) has unveiled D-SNAP (Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) sites across several Florida counties. This initiative aims to provide essential food support to residents affected by these hurricanes who are not already benefiting from the regular SNAP program.

Residents of Citrus, Flagler, Highlands, Madison, Pasco, Volusia, and Wakulla counties who have pre-registered but missed their D-SNAP phone interview can now attend an in-person interview at designated locations. If the phone interview was already completed, attending in person is unnecessary.

For those not yet pre-registered, the Department is reopening online pre-registration for these counties. It is advised to complete this process online prior to attending the in-person interview. Key information for D-SNAP applicants

• Current SNAP beneficiaries are not eligible for D-SNAP and should avoid attending these events.
• Those approved via phone interviews will receive EBT cards by mail and need not attend the on-site locations.
• Individuals should only visit the D-SNAP site designated for their respective county; services will not be provided to residents of other counties.

The Department is committed to establishing D-SNAP sites across approved counties, with announcements forthcoming as new locations open.
